There will be a winter tree walk around the grounds of St Ann’s Hospital on Wednesday 19th January 2010. Meeting 11.30 at the picnic area straight down from the Main Entrance. The tour will feature many of the fine specimen trees in the grounds such as the True Service Trees, Judas Tree, and several rare thorns.

The Black Mulberry, by I.

The black fruit are nice & juicy
If you eat one, you eat two more... or a handful, because they are juicy.
You can eat the red ones but they taste sourish. Don't eat too many of them - they give you a runny tummy.
Leave some for the birds. They drop on the floor, the birds eat them, when it rains little plants come out and become big trees.
In Africa you don't have to buy the fruit because you can pick it in the bush.
